About the role:
At Provar we pride ourselves in our customer service and being on hand to help our
customers implement our products within their organization. Each customer has a unique
set of infrastructure challenges and requirements and we now wish to expand our team to
include a dedicated DevOps Lead.
The Provar DevOps Lead is a skilled hands-on technical resource who has a history of
working within an end-to-end DevOps lifecycle for business applications and projects. The
ideal candidate should have broad experience of Continuous Integration, Version Control
and ideally Container-As-A-Service tools and technologies, both cloud based and locally
hosted.
The candidate should be a self-starter, able to research solutions and make informed
decisions based on their technical experience. They should be willing to learn new
technologies and maintain expertise in a broad spectrum of DevOps related tools.
The candidate will be responsible for liaising with Provar DevOps Partners in the Salesforce
ecosystem such as AutoRabit, Blue Canvas, Copado, Flosum and Gearset, writing technical
whitepapers and troubleshooting customer implementation issues. In addition the successful
candidate will take ownership for managing our own regression & trial environments with
the key objective of ensuring we have a scalable platform to support our rapid growth.
What you’ll do:
You’ll be responsible for:
● Providing thought leadership within Provar on DevOps best practices and
documenting specific configurations
● Managing the Provar build, regression test, demo and trial environments
● Assisting customers in their DevOps configuration using various Version Control,
Continuous Integration and CaaS tools
● Becoming an expert on the Provar test automation application, in particular with
respect to configuration parameters (training will be provided)
● Optimizing the Provar application packaging, distribution and deployment process
● Liaising with Salesforce ISVs in the DevOps space
● Networking with fellow professionals in India and globally through online
communities, local user groups, webinars and conferences
● Identifying new technologies and solutions to help Provar customers implement their
DevOps strategy
● Writing technical blogs for the Provar website and presenting at events
About you:
You’ll have:
● Experience of Apache ANT and Maven, comfortable writing and amending build
scripts
● Experience on CI/ CD Tools like Jenkins, Github Actions/ Pipelines, Travis CI, Circle CI
● Experience managing AWS EC2 instances and creating Amazon Machine Images
● Experience of Version Control tools such as Git, SVN, TFS/VSTS, Bamboo
● Linux and Windows Server administration, including application deployments,
security and configuration
● Experience of one or more Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) platforms, such as Docker
● Experience in working with AWS services such as ECS, Codepipeline, CodeCommit,
EFS etc.
● Experience in writing code to automate infrastructure through CDK or terraform.

It may be advantageous to also have these skills:
● Previous experience of Provar, other test automation tools, or custom frameworks
● A knowledge of Selenium Webdrivers and running webapps in headless Chrome on
Linux/Unix in both GUI and non-GUI environments
● Experience of Salesforce DX and 2nd Generation Packaging
● Experience of one or more Salesforce Deployment & Release Management ISVs such
as AutoRabit, Copado, Flosum or Gearset.
● Exposure to Eclipse target platforms
● Exposure on setting/ configuring/ managing Database
● Exposure on setting/ configuring/ managing MS Exchange Server
● Exposure on setting/ configuring/ managing Proxy servers
